The Vicky, Steve, Marie & Mark Experience

Carlo and Team Mammarancia gave us a fantastic private tour of their citrus farm in Francofonte. They also prepared a delicious lunch for us at their home. The tour and lunch far exceeded our expectations. The entire team was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We saw several citrus groves including a 60-year-old citrus grove that was currently being harvested and a new citrus grove just planted last year. We learned how to correctly harvest oranges using a special scissors and how to check the Brix level. We also learned about the organic farming methods they use and their focus on environmentally friendly practices used throughout their operation. From my initial contact to the tour organization and throughout the tour we were treated like family and will never forget this experience. By far this was the best experience we had in Sicily.
